Objective: To provide an overview of the most recent techniques for modelling coupled THMC processes, including
introduction to induced seismicity and permeability enhancement. The technical course will build on the expertise of the involved institution.
Programme: Review of modelling techniques for thermal, hydrological, chemical and mechanical processes; introduction to induced seismicity and permeability enhancement; modelling of coupled THMC processes.

Technical course IV: Microseismic monitoring, Leo Eisner (Seismik)

January, 30th and 31st

Objective: To understand the measurements made in passive seismic and their uncertainties.
Programme: Introduction to microseismic monitoring; earthquakes; downhole location technique; surface monitoring technique; source mechanisms; advanced source characterization; anisotropy; engineering applications of microseismicity; review of recent important case histories.
