SMILE is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie doctoral network funded by Horizon Europe (2021-2027) frame work program of the European Union, with the aim of developing innovative solutions for geo-energy by training a new generation of young researchers for the successful deployment of subsurface low-carbon energy sources while protecting groundwater and related ecosystems. The SMILE acronym is inspired by the research methods involving a MultidiSciplinary and MultIscale approach for assessing coupLed processes induced by geo-Energies.

The primary objective of the SMILE training program is to equip Doctoral Candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to cultivate independence in their research endeavors while also enabling them to discover innovative and groundbreaking solutions in Geo-energies.
